VACUUM BELT FILTRATION TECHNOLOGY

Roymec offers 0.5m² to 120m² vacuum belt filters (VBF) that are robust, efficient
and cost-effective. Our VBF units are:

FLOCCULANT AND REAGENT PLANTS
|
Roymec offers a full range of automatic and manual make-up and dosing plants
with capabilities from 0.5kg/hr to 3,000kg/hr.
These novel, continuous, packaged make-up and dosing systems:
- Reduce powder handling
- Offer simplified overall operation
- Minimised tank volumes and wastage.
The systems also offer significant cost benefits, reduced power and footprint requirement.

AUTOMATIC FILTER PRESSES
|
Roymec Technologies provides Filmac automatic filter presses with plate sizes
from 300mm to 2,000mm. A unique CRS system allows the filter unit to discharge cake
without operator attendance.
Filmac installations can be found in Africa, all over Europe and Asia. More than
250 units have been installed in chemical, mining, paper and various other industrial
& municipal applications.

HORIZONTAL LINEAR SCREENS
|
Roymec Technologies provides a wide range of Horizontal Linear Screens for the dewatering
of various mineral and industrial slurries. These simple, robust units are designed
for high volumetric flows and offer unrivalled efficiency in oversize removal. Linear
screens effectively cut down to 300µm aperture.

ION EXCHANGE AND CHROMATOGRAPHIC SEPARATION
|
Roymec Technologies supplies counter-current ion exchange and chromatographic separation
systems. The process efficiency is
unrivalled when compared to conventional fixed-bed systems.

VACUUM / PRESSURE DISC AND DRUM FILTERS
|
Roymec Technologies supplies Bokela vacuum & pressure disc and drum filtration
technology. Bokela specialises in the retrofit of existing installations to improve
throughput and efficiency. Filters are available from 2m² to 280m² in size. Overall
filter performance is enhanced by the use of:
- Steam injection
- Roller discharge
- Novel feed trough
- Vacuum head designs.

PIN-BED CLARIFIERS
|
Roymec provides deep-cone pin-bed clarifiers for the generation of
high-quality overflows and/or high-density underflows.
Units offer a combined ultra-high rate thickener and pin floating bed media
filter in one vessel and provide consistent, reliable operations with an
overall reduction in suspended solids down to below 10ppm.

FIXED-BED ION EXCHANGE AND RESIN ELUTION
|
Roymec Technologies provides fully assembled, skid-mounted fixed-bed ion exchange
and resin elution systems with full instrumentation, piping, valving and control.
Units offer low-cost design with emphasis on maximum recovery and
flexible operation. This turnkey concept includes circuit integration and
attention to aspects such as:
- Resin screening
- Solution clarification
- Resin elution
- Reagent minimization

SEGMENTED TANKS
|
The segmented tank concept offers significant benefits, particularly for remote sites
including:
- Extreme cost effectiveness
- Delivered in low volume pre-packed pallets
- Installation in a third of the time compared to welded tanks
In addition cranage and scaffolding are not necessary as tanks are light weight
and can be picked up by a telescopic loader.
